Once a family home on a National Trust working farm, is now available on short stay or weekly let bases.

Higher Shippen Cottage Facilities

Higher shippen Sleeps 6 very comfortably but will accommodate 8, and is available for weekly / sort breaks on a self-catering basis or as an overflow for our bed and breakfast for groups walking the coast or wedding parties. (Breakfast is served in the farmhouse just next door)

All rooms look out over green fields, often full of either cattle or sheep, and views towards Dartmoor National Park.

Higher shippen has 3 bedrooms – The tariff is based on an occupancy of 6 people. Please contact us for more information

BEDROOMS: 2 UPSTAIRS 1 DOWNSTAIRS.

GROUND FLOOR:

• Third bedroom – 2 steps down into room.
• Kitchen – Recently refurbished, Rayburn for cooking and ALL hot water, Electric oven and hob, Dishwasher, fridge. Table extends to seat 8
• Lounge – Wood burning stove heats radiator’s in bedrooms (October to March 1 lot of wood supplied then a charge per extra loads) TV with freeview, DVD, 2 Sofa’s and 2 tub chairs.
• Utility Area – Separate Toilet and Sink, separate electric shower room. Washing Machine, small chest freezer, Ironing board and iron.

UPSTAIRS:

• Main – upstairs, with large double bed, has views out over the large garden and fields, and is separated from the second bedroom by a large family bathroom with a cast iron roll top bath, sink and toilet.
• Second bedroom – has a double bed and two single beds.

OUTSIDE:

• Parking for two cars – please note that the track is stone and low level cars may have difficulty.
